Fresno, CA – On the late morning of Thursday, June 5, 2025, a two-vehicle collision involving a fire truck and a pickup resulted in injuries to three individuals, according to The Fresno Bee.
The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 11:58 AM at the intersection of American and Maple Avenues.
Authorities stated that a Fresno County Fire engine was en route to a nearby grass fire with its emergency lights activated when a Ford Bronco entered the intersection and collided with the fire engine’s left side. The impact caused the fire truck to roll over onto its side.
The driver of the Ford Bronco, along with both the driver and a passenger inside the fire engine, sustained injuries. Emergency medical personnel transported all three individuals to a local hospital for further evaluation and treatment.
The incident remains under investigation.
Personal Injury Claims & Comparative Negligence
Determining fault in a collision can involve multiple factors, and under California’s Comparative Negligence rule, several parties can share partial responsibility. Should evidence reveal that another party contributed to the injuries, victims may be eligible to file a Personal Injury Claim with the responsible party’s insurance, which can provide compensation for medical bills and lost wages during recovery.
Passenger Liability
Driver liability insurance covers both those outside the vehicle and passengers inside. While it can be emotionally difficult to file a Personal Injury claim against someone close to the victim, the financial challenges after an accident can be overwhelming.
A skilled personal injury attorney can help families pursue proper compensation for their loss by handling these legal complexities and negotiating with insurance companies, who always try to reduce payouts on claims they cannot deny.
