May 31, 2025, Bakersfield, CA: Late Saturday night, a fatal hit-and-run pedestrian accident took place in Bakersfield.
According to information provided by KGET, the collision occurred around 10:30 p.m. on East Brundage Lane. Police confirmed that a man was walking near the north shoulder when he was suddenly struck by a driver in a westbound vehicle. The driver fled the scene instead of checking on the pedestrian or waiting for police.
The adult male was tragically pronounced dead on scene as a result of his injuries. Nobody else was injured in the collision.
No further details have been released at this time but Bakersfield Police continue to search for the involved driver. The investigation currently remains ongoing.
