Avenal Man, 41, Injured in Hwy 99, Manning Ave Crash in Fresno

Fresno, CA – On the evening of Tuesday, April 29, 2025, a two-vehicle collision resulted in moderate to major injuries to one man, according to ABC30.

The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 8:00 PM near Highway 99 and Manning Avenue.

A 41-year-old man from Avenal was hospitalized after the pickup truck he was driving was struck by a Dodge Ram while stopped without lights in the middle of the freeway. Authorities said the Dodge driver was not injured in the crash.

The injured man was transported to the hospital with moderate to major injuries. CHP suspects the man was driving under the influence and noted that he has five prior DUI offenses.

The crash remains under investigation, and no charges have been officially filed at this time.
