Lone Star, Abel Rd Crash Kills at Least 1 in Colusa County

Colusa County, CA – On the night of Sunday, April 27, 2025, a two-vehicle collision resulted in a fatality and blocked traffic, according to CHP Fatal.

The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 10:07 PM near the intersection of Lone Star Road and Abel Road. 

Responding authorities found two vehicles overturned and blocking the roadway. Emergency personnel confirmed that at least one individual was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Colusa County Sheriff’s Office and fire department responded to assist with the scene, and tow services were called to remove both vehicles as evidence. The roadway remained closed for several hours while investigators worked, but all lanes were reopened by early Monday morning.

The name of the deceased has not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
