April 5, 2025, Santa Cruz, CA: One person lost their life in a fatal motorcycle accident at an intersection in Santa Cruz on Saturday afternoon.
The accident, according to information provided by Kion 46, occurred at 12:52 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 1 and Laguna Road. Police confirmed that a woman was traveling in a red 2011 Mini Cooper when she was involved in a collision with a 2005 Suzuki motorcycle.
The motorcyclist, identified as a 19-year-old man from Milpitas, was ejected from his bike and tragically pronounced dead on scene. The driver of the Mini, identified as a 24-year-old San Jose woman, was hospitalized with minor injuries.
