April 7, 2025, Watsonville, CA: A woman was injured and an arrest was made following a car accident at a Watsonville intersection on Sunday evening.
The accident, according to information provided by Kion 46, took place in the evening hours at the intersection of Mar Monte Avenue and Highway 1. Police confirmed that one driver was traveling in the area in a gray Lexus when their vehicle collided with a silver Ford Fusion. The Ford Fusion rolled over as a result.
The driver of the Fusion, identified as a 70-year-old woman, sustained major injuries in the accident. She was airlifted to a nearby hospital by medical helicopter. The driver of the Lexus, identified as a 21-year-old man, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Police confirmed that the driver of the Lexus was arrested on charges of felony reckless driving.
