April 7, 2025, Fresno, CA: A man lost his life in a fatal hit-and-run pedestrian accident that took place on a road in Fresno on Monday morning.
The accident, according to information provided by Your Central Valley, occurred around 12 a.m. in the southbound lanes of Marks Avenue around the area of Highway 180. Police confirmed that a vehicle was traveling southbound when the driver collided with a pedestrian. The pedestrian came to rest around 200 feet south of the initial accident. The driver then fled the scene of the crash without checking on the pedestrian or waiting for police.
The pedestrian, identified as a man between the years of 30 and 45, was tragically pronounced dead on scene as a result of his injuries. It is believed that no other parties were hurt in the collision.
California Highway Patrol is still looking for evidence related to the crash. Their investigation remains ongoing.
