March 15, 2025, Bakersfield, CA: On Saturday night, a man was injured in a serious pedestrian accident that took place at a Bakersfield intersection.
According to information provided by Bakersfield Now, the accident happened around 7:42 p.m. at the intersection of California Avenue and Exchange Street. Police confirmed that a man started to cross the street at the intersection when he was struck buy a driver in a Kira Rio. A driver was in a Honda Odyssey behind the Kia and also struck the pedestrian when they were unable to stop in time.
The pedestrian sustained major injuries and was rushed to Kern Medical Center for treatment. Neither of the drivers were hurt but remained on scene and cooperated with police.
