January 17, 2025, Watsonville, CA: One person lost their life in a fatal pedestrian accident at an intersection in Watsonville on Friday evening.
According to information provided by KSBW, the collision happened at the intersection of Hall Road and Las Lomas Drive in Watsonville around 5:29 p.m. A 40-year-old man started running across the intersection when he was suddenly struck by a Toyota pickup truck headed eastbound. A second vehicle then struck the pedestrian as well.
The pedestrian was tragically pronounced dead on scene. Nobody else was hurt in the collision.
Police confirmed that both drivers remained on scene and cooperated with police. Officials continue their investigation into the collision at this time.
