January 6, 2025, Fresno, CA: A big rig collision involving two vehicles at a Fresno intersection caused injuries on Monday afternoon.
The accident, according to information provided by Your Central Valley, took place around 12:45 p.m. at the intersection of Nielsen and Hughes Avenues. A driver of a sedan was traveling north on Hughes while the big rig was traveling south on Hughes when they collided with each other. Photographs from the scene showed the sedan wedged under the side of the big rig.
The driver of the sedan sustained injuries and was hospitalized. The driver of the big rig was not hurt and remained on scene.
No further details have been released but Fresno Police continue their investigation into the collision at this time.
