October 6, 2024, Fresno, CA: A man tragically lost his life in a hit-and-run pedestrian crash in Fresno on Sunday evening.
According to information provided by ABC30, the accident happened at the intersection of Abby Street and Belmont Avenue. A 60-year-old man was in the area when he was suddenly struck by the driver of a Red Buick. The driver stopped initially but then got into their vehicle and took off.
The pedestrian was tragically pronounced dead on scene due to his injuries. Nobody else was harmed in the accident.
Officers went to search for the involved driver. They found the suspect vehicle parked at a nearby church and detained the driver.
