September 22, 2024, Rosamond, CA: On Sunday morning, a pedestrian tragically lost their life in a fatal accident in Rosamond.
According to information provided by Bakersfield Now, the accident happened around 3:31 a.m. on Rosamond Boulevard near the area of 50th Street. A pedestrian was walking east on Rosamond when they were suddenly struck by the driver of a Ford passenger vehicle. The driver stopped and remained on scene after the collision.
The pedestrian, who has since been identified as a 63-year-old male, was tragically pronounced dead on scene as a result of their injuries. Nobody else was hurt in the accident.
No further details have been released but California Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
