August 22, 2024, Mojave, CA: On Thursday night, one individual was tragically killed in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident in Mojave.
According to a KGET report, the accident happened at 9 p.m. on Sierra Highway around the area of Belshaw Street. A pedestrian was allegedly walking in the area when they were suddenly struck by the driver of a red Nissan sedan. The driver fled the scene without stopping.
Paramedics attempted to assist the pedestrian but they were tragically pronounced dead on scene. Nobody else sustained injuries in the accident.
Police have not found the suspect involved in the accident as of Friday morning. Their investigation into the circumstances of the collision remains ongoing.
