August 5, 2024, Fresno, CA: One person was injured in a rear-end bus collision that took place in Fresno on Monday afternoon. According to Your Central Valley, the accident happened at 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of Blackstone and Herndon Avenues.
Investigators say that a sedan was traveling in the area when the driver suddenly slammed into the back of a FAX bus. The driver of the sedan got out of his vehicle and fled the scene but was later detained by local police. They are currently evaluating the driver for a DUI but have not commented further on this.
Paramedics evaluated the driver of the bus, who was sent to the hospital with pain. There was a passenger on the bus but they were not hurt in the accident.
Police continue to investigate the circumstances leading up to the accident at this time.
