August 2, 2024, Santa Maria, CA: Two victims lost their lives in a fatal collision that took place at an intersection in Santa Maria on Thursday morning. According to information provided by KSBY, the accident happened at 9:15 a.m. at the intersection of Stowell Road and Bradley Road.
Police reported that a woman was traveling eastbound on Stowell when she went through a red light, colliding with a second vehicle headed south on Bradley due to reasons that are still under investigation.
A male and female passenger inside the southbound vehicle were tragically pronounced dead on scene due to their injuries. The woman in the first vehicle sustained moderate injuries and was hospitalized.
The road was closed for several hours following the collision.
