July 31, 2024, Mira Monte, CA: A woman from Ojai was tragically killed in a pedestrian accident on Wednesday morning. Information provided by Ojai Valley News claimed that the collision happened around 7 a.m. at the intersection of SR-33 and West Villanova Road.
Police arrived on scene to find that a woman was struck by a 58-year-old man driving a Chevrolet Express Van. At the time, the 44-year-old female pedestrian was entering the intersection after waiting to cross. The driver of the van remained on scene. Police did not say who had the green light at the time of the crash.
Paramedics rushed the pedestrian to Ventura County Medical Center with traumatic injuries. However, she was tragically pronounced deceased while there.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
