The simple act of walking anywhere in Fresno can become extremely dangerous when people rushing by in cars and trucks don’t give proper attention to the street in front of them. Drivers can be focused on a cellphone, or lose focus because they’re tired after a long workday and fail to notice a pedestrian trying to cross or use the lane.
The danger of this inattention is only magnified after sundown when drivers have to show even more focus to spot a pedestrian who may be harder to see in low light conditions.
Motorists can fail to notice a pedestrian in their path and cause a terrible accident that can mean devastating injuries for a victim.

Support for Those Hurt in Fresno Pedestrian Accidents
Heartbreaking pedestrian accidents can leave victims fighting for their lives and leave their families worried sick over their wellbeing. The circumstances will make things extremely difficult but at this time it’s important that victims aren’t allowed to be targeted by hospital expenses and other bills that are impossible to pay, all over an accident that wasn’t their fault.
In these situations, a victim or a close family member can file a claim for damages against the driver responsible for the tragic collision. The driver’s insurance would be called upon to provide compensation to stabilize the victim’s finances and his or her family’s finances. If an accident involved someone on the job, several insurance companies may be called upon in this claim. The driver’s personal insurance may apply, but his or her employer may also have an insurance policy covering employees behind the wheel.
A civil lawsuit can make sure money is provided to pay for the best medical care for victims. Compensation can also be used to supplement family income until a victim can heal and return to their place of employment. Even emotional hardships and physical pain that may continue for the patient in the years to come can increase the amount of compensation that is awarded.
