As with other areas of California, drivers in Salinas are constantly urged to pay close attention to the roads around them to keep pedestrians safe from harm. For pedestrians in the city of Salinas, it is sometimes difficult to locate safe places to cross the street at intersections and on other major roads.
When a driver fails to abide by their duty of care to others and a pedestrian accident results, the outcome can be devastating. This is due to the fact that pedestrians have no protection from harm and are likely to suffer from some of the most catastrophic injuries. As an injured pedestrian, it is important to know that you have many rights and options under California law.
