Travelers through rural Santa Barbara County can be enjoying the scenery instead of watching the road and suddenly put traffic in both directions in danger. A slight veer out of a lane can take other drivers by surprise and lead to dangerous head-on and sideswipe collisions.
Driver’s can also get reckless on two-lane roads and risk losing control of their vehicles and hitting innocent drivers. The consequences can be devastating when drivers and passengers are hurt and placed in jeopardy of losing their lives.

Finding Assistance for Victims and Families After a Major Santa Barbara County Accident
In the aftermath of a tragedy, family members of a car accident victim may have to act to protect themselves from the financial damages a car crash can cause.
Funeral costs and ambulance fees can all come due just as a family is having to deal with the loss of the financial support the deceased provided through his or her job. The family must also learn to cope with life without the emotional support the loved one provided.
A family can find some closure in a tragic collision by filing a wrongful death claim to protect the future of those left behind. The at-fault driver’s insurance company can be called upon to provide money for costs the family has endured and any future emotional and financial hardships expected in the years to come.
For surviving victims, a claim for damages can be filed against drivers responsible for accidents. Hospital care and future rehabilitation costs are covered by the driver’s insurance policy. Medical equipment can also be paid for. The insurance company should also be called upon to provide compensation for the victim’s missed time at work and lost wages.
