According to Visalia Stringer, the accident happened before 5 a.m. in the northbound lanes of Highway 99 near the area of Avenue 328. Police confirmed that two vehicles collided with each other on the highway, with both leaving the road after the crash. One came to rest next to the nearby railroad tracks.
