August 20, 2026, Porterville, CA: A worker sustained injuries in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on a Porterville roadway on Thursday morning.
According to California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at 9:03 a.m. at the Porterville Area Office on Morton Avenue. At the time, a worker was working in a field at the office when they were struck by a vehicle that went off the side of the road. The driver continued onward without stopping.
Paramedics were called to the scene. The pedestrian sustained injuries and was taken to the hospital but their condition is not yet known.
