July 29, 2026, Visalia, CA: Injuries were reported in a two-vehicle collision that took place in Visalia on Wednesday afternoon.
According to California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at 5:22 p.m. at the intersection of SR-198 and Shirk Road. Police confirmed that a black Hyundai and a black Toyota collided with one another, causing one of them to crash off the side of the road. The vehicles were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more parties sustained injuries in the accident. They were taken to the hospital for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in several lanes following the accident.
