Fresno, CA – On the evening of Monday, June 9, 2026, a collision with a motorcycle resulted in a woman losing her life in east central Fresno, according to ABC30.
The Fresno Police Department reports that the accident took place around 9:30 PM at the intersection of Maple and Garland Avenues.
Authorities said the motorcyclist was traveling northbound on Maple Avenue when he collided with a woman who was in the middle of the road. Officers arrived to find the motorcycle separated from its driver, and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Maple Avenue was closed while the Fresno Police Department’s collision reconstruction unit continued the investigation. The identity of the deceased had not been released at the time of reporting. The investigation remains ongoing.
