May 23, 2026, Visalia, CA: Late Saturday night, a t-bone collision involving a sedan and a firetruck occurred at a Visalia intersection.
According to Visalia Watchdog, the accident happened at 11:30 p.m. at the intersection of SR-65 and Avenue 256. Police confirmed that the driver of a passenger vehicle and a firetruck collided at the intersection. This caused the firetruck to end up on its side completely.
Emergency responders were called in to assist at the scene. The windshield of the firetruck was removed so that they could pull out those inside. Nobody inside was injured. However, the driver of the passenger vehicle sustained injuries. They were taken to a local hospital by ambulance, but their current condition is not yet known.
The roadway was blocked at the intersection for some time after the accident.
No further details have been released. Police continue their investigation into the accident.
