May 7, 2026, Porterville, CA: A DUI accident that led to injuries occurred on a roadway in Porterville on Thursday night.
According to California Highway Patrol in Porterville, the crash happened on Thursday night on Road 232, just south of Avenue 56. Police confirmed that a driver was driving while intoxicated when they became involved in a collision with three other drivers. The vehicles involved were left with extensive damages, including one with severe front-end damage and a van with extensive damage to its driver’s side.
Police said one or more victims sustained serious injuries in the accident and were hospitalized. Their current conditions are not yet known.
The driver responsible for the crash was arrested for DUI. Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the collision at this time.
