Fresno, CA – On the morning of Thursday, April 30, 2026, Cassidy White, 32, lost her life and her passenger was injured after her vehicle crashed into a building in Downtown Fresno, according to KSEE/KGPE.
The Fresno Police Department reports that the accident took place around 7:20 AM at Ventura Avenue and R Street.
Authorities said the vehicle was traveling westbound when it went through the intersection and struck the corner of the Factory 41 building. White was transported to Community Regional Medical Center in critical condition, where she was subsequently pronounced dead.
The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office formally identified her following her death. A 19-year-old female passenger sustained moderate injuries and was also attended to following the crash.
The collision caused damage to a water valve at the scene, sending water flowing into the street before it was shut off by utility crews. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
