April 23, 2026, Bakersfield, CA: Three vehicles were involved in an accident that led to injuries on a highway in Bakersfield on Thursday.
According to California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at 3:38 p.m. in the northbound lanes of SR-99. Police confirmed that three vehicles, including a GMC SUV and a Toyota Camry, were involved in the accident. The accident led to extensive damage in the involved vehicles.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene. One or more parties sustained injuries as a result of the accident. It is not known how many were hospitalized.
Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the collision at this time.
