Pedestrian Injured in North Chester, Harding Ave Crash in Oildale

Oildale, CA – On the evening of Saturday, April 4, 2026, a pedestrian collision left a woman with major injuries, according to KGET.

The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 8:22 PM near North Chester and Harding Avenues.

Authorities said a woman was walking eastbound across Chester Avenue outside of a marked crosswalk when she was struck by a man driving a 2008 Hyundai in the number one lane of southbound Chester Avenue at approximately 35 miles per hour. The driver remained at the scene following the impact.

The woman was transported to Kern Medical with major injuries. Investigators determined that drugs and alcohol were not factors in the crash. The investigation remains ongoing.
