April 6, 2026, Visalia, CA: A hit-and-run accident with injuries took place on a highway in Visalia on Monday night.
According to Visalia Stringer, the accident occurred around 8:35 p.m. in the westbound lanes of Highway 198 on the Demaree off-ramp. Police confirmed that a vehicle was struck by a second driver. The second driver fled the scene of the accident.
Paramedics were dispatched to the scene to help. One person in the vehicle that remained on scene sustained injuries. They were taken to the hospital for treatment.
Police did not say if they found the driver who fled the scene. Their investigation into the collision continues.
