Nobody is ever fully prepared to face the aftermath of a car accident on their own. Proving that another party caused your accident is not always easy to do. Because of this, it is crucial that you have a knowledgeable lawyer on your side. An attorney will be able to help you determine that another party is liable for your accident. From there, you may be eligible for some of the following types of damages:

  • Medical and therapy costs
  • Loss of income due to missed time at work
  • Pain and suffering
  • Punitive damages

Having an attorney on your side means you can meet all filing deadlines in your claim. The statute of limitations is two years from the time you become injured. After that, you may be barred from financial recovery. This is why you should speak with an attorney as soon as you can.
