I-5, West El Camino Ave Off-Ramp Crash Injures 4 Including Infant in Sacramento

Sacramento, CA – On the afternoon of Tuesday, March 10, 2026, a single-vehicle rollover crash involving four people resulted in injuries, according to FOX40.

The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place near the northbound Interstate 5 off-ramp at West El Camino Avenue.

The Sacramento Fire Department responded to the scene, where four individuals were found injured following the rollover. Among the victims was an infant who required CPR at the scene. The remaining three victims were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Fire officials later confirmed that the infant regained a pulse and was breathing independently upon arrival at the hospital, offering a measure of relief following the alarming initial response.

The northbound Interstate 5 off-ramp at West El Camino Avenue was closed as emergency personnel worked the scene. Caltrans confirmed the closure, and authorities had not provided an estimated time for the ramp to reopen at the time of reporting. The circumstances leading up to the rollover had not been released.

The investigation into the cause of the crash remains ongoing, and additional details are expected to be made available as they emerge.

Single-Vehicle Collisions

In some cases, investigations may reveal that even in a single-vehicle accident, nearby drivers or unsafe road features share some responsibility. California’s Comparative Negligence rule means that, even if those injured in accidents are found partially at fault, they may still be eligible to receive partial compensation for damages through a Personal Injury Claim.

Passenger Liability

Driver liability insurance covers both those outside the vehicle and passengers inside. While it can be emotionally difficult to file a Personal Injury Claim against someone close to the victim, the financial challenges after an accident can be overwhelming. As a neutral third party, an experienced personal injury attorney can help navigate these emotional complexities.
