Fresno, CA – In the early hours of Saturday, February 28, 2026, a two-vehicle collision resulting from a police pursuit left two people hospitalized, according to the Fresno Bee.
The Fresno Police Department reports that the accident took place around 12:00 AM at Fruit and McKinley Avenues.
Authorities said the crash occurred when a suspect being pursued by officers collided with another vehicle as the chase came to an end at the intersection. The two occupants of the vehicle that was struck were transported to a local hospital and were reported to be in stable condition.
Following the collision, the suspect fled the scene on foot into a nearby neighborhood. Officers launched a search for the individual in the surrounding area.
Authorities said the suspect faces charges of felony evading and felony hit-and-run, in addition to several vehicle code violations. Police have asked anyone with information about the suspect’s whereabouts to contact the Fresno Police Department.
