February 15, 2026, Madera, CA: Four people tragically lost their lives and another sustained injuries in a fatal collision on El Vado Drive in Madera on Sunday.
According to Your Central Valley, the accident occurred at 1 a.m. at the intersection of El Vado Drive and Avenue 18 ½. Police initially arrived on scene due to reports of somebody breaking into vehicles. A driver sped away from the scene, losing control and crashing the vehicle near Highway 99.
When paramedics arrived, they tragically pronounced four people inside the vehicle deceased on scene. One of the victims was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
No further details have been released at this time. Madera County officials continue their investigation into the collision.
