North Yosemite Ave, East E St Crash Injures Stanislaus County Deputy in Oakdale

Oakdale, CA – A Stanislaus County sheriff’s deputy was injured on the evening of Tuesday, January 6, 2026, after being involved in a traffic collision while responding to a call for service, according to KCRA.

Authorities reported that the crash occurred around 5:45 PM near the intersection of North Yosemite Avenue and East E Street. The Oakdale Police Department stated that the deputy was traveling northbound on North Yosemite Avenue when another vehicle made an eastbound turn onto East E Street and entered the deputy’s path of travel.

As a result of the collision, the deputy sustained injuries that were described as not life-threatening. The deputy was transported to an area hospital for evaluation and treatment, officials said.

Oakdale police reported that a man and a juvenile were occupants of the other vehicle involved in the crash. The juvenile was airlifted to a hospital for medical care, though the extent of their injuries has not been released.

The adult male occupant was transported to a hospital with what authorities described as minor injuries. No additional details regarding the cause of the crash were immediately available.

The incident remains under investigation as officials continue to review the circumstances surrounding the collision and the events leading up to it.

Personal Injury Claims & Comparative Negligence

Determining fault in a collision can involve multiple factors, and under California’s Comparative Negligence rule, several parties can share partial responsibility. Should evidence reveal that another party contributed to the injuries, victims may be eligible to file a Personal Injury Claim with the responsible party’s insurance, which can provide compensation for medical bills and lost wages during recovery.

Ongoing Investigations

Victims of traffic accidents and their families should be aware that authorities may fail to note or even misinterpret critical evidence at a crash site. One of the services that a Personal Injury Attorney can provide is to pursue follow-up investigations, which can reveal additional evidence to correct any errors made by previous investigators.
