Fresno, CA – In the early hours of Monday, December 29, 2025, a pedestrian collision involving two vehicles resulted in fatal injuries to an unidentified person, according to The Fresno Bee.

The Fresno Police Department reports that the accident took place around 5:00 AM near West Shaw Avenue and Marks Avenue.

Authorities stated that officers responded to the scene after receiving reports of a pedestrian down in the roadway near a shopping center. Upon arrival, officers located the pedestrian lying in the traffic lanes and immediately rendered medical aid.

Police reported that despite lifesaving efforts, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene due to the severity of the injuries sustained. Investigators determined that at least two vehicles struck the pedestrian during the incident.

Officials stated that both drivers involved in the collision remained at the scene and were cooperative with investigators. No injuries to the drivers were reported, and no arrests were announced at the time of the report.

The department’s Collision Reconstruction Unit responded to document the scene, collect evidence, and analyze vehicle movement and roadway conditions as part of standard investigative procedures. 

West Shaw Avenue, west of Marks Avenue, remained closed for several hours while the investigation was conducted.
