November 15, 2025, Porterville, CA: A hit-and-run pedestrian accident with injuries occurred on a roadway in Porterville on Saturday evening.
According to Porterville Stringer, the accident happened at 6:07 p.m. at 566 East Date Avenue. Police confirmed that a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle while walking in the area. The driver of the involved vehicle fled the scene.
The pedestrian, who has not yet been formally identified, was seriously injured in the accident. Nobody else sustained injuries in the crash.
The road was blocked in both east and westbound lanes. Police urged those in the area to use alternate routes for some time.
