Motorcyclist Struck, Killed on Rocky Ridge Drive near Johnson Ranch in Roseville

Roseville, CA – On the morning of Tuesday, November 25, 2025, a vehicle–versus–motorcycle collision resulted in a motorcyclist losing their life, according to ABC10.

The Roseville Police Department reports that the accident took place just before 7:00 AM on Rocky Ridge Drive near Johnson Ranch.

Authorities said the motorcyclist was struck by a vehicle and suffered injuries that proved fatal despite emergency response efforts. The crash prompted the closure of all northbound and southbound lanes of Rocky Ridge Drive between Loretto Drive and Maidu Drive while the Major Accident Investigation Team conducted a detailed examination of the scene.

Motorists were advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes as road closures could continue for an extended period.

Officials stated that DUI is not suspected at this time, but the cause of the collision remains under investigation.

Wrongful Death Claims & Comparative Negligence

Determining fault in a collision can involve multiple factors, and under California’s Comparative Negligence rule, several parties can share partial responsibility.

Should someone else be found even partly responsible for the death, the family may be able to file a Wrongful Death claim against the at-fault driver’s insurance. This can provide compensation to help cover medical bills, funeral expenses, and the loss of income to support the family of the deceased.
