Stanislaus County, CA – On the morning of Tuesday, November 25, 2025, a single-vehicle collision resulting in a car fire caused two people to lose their lives, according to KXTV, with additional reporting from CHP Fatal.

The CHP Fatal reports that the accident took place around 6:41 AM near Hickman Road and Cogswell Road.

Authorities said the two people were traveling northbound in a Toyota when the driver veered off the roadway and struck a concrete irrigation box. The impact caused the vehicle to catch fire with both occupants still inside, and emergency personnel pronounced them dead at the scene despite rapid response efforts.
