Fresno, CA – On the afternoon of Sunday, November 16, 2025, a broadside collision between a big rig and another vehicle resulted in injuries to multiple occupants, according to KSEE.
The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 4:40 PM at Highway 145 and Manning Avenue.
Investigators said a big rig hauling a trailer was traveling south on Highway 145 at approximately 55 mph when it approached the stop sign at Manning Avenue. For reasons still under review, evidence suggests that the driver failed to stop and entered the intersection, striking the left side of an eastbound GMC that had been moving through the roadway at about 5 mph.
The force of the impact caused injuries to the GMC’s driver and front passenger, both of whom were transported to a local hospital. Two children under the age of 10, seated in the back, were not hurt, according to authorities.
CHP indicated that the big rig driver was uninjured and was not found to be under the influence. The investigation into why the truck entered the intersection without stopping remains ongoing.
Ongoing Investigations
Victims of traffic accidents and their families should be aware that authorities may fail to note or even misinterpret critical evidence at a crash site. One of the services that a Personal Injury Attorney can provide is to pursue follow-up investigations, which can reveal additional evidence to correct any errors made by previous investigators.
Personal Injury Claims
After a traffic accident, victims and their families often deal with unexpected financial burdens, such as medical bills, lost income, and, in the worst cases, burial costs. A Personal Injury Claim allows accident victims to hold the at-fault party financially responsible for their costs of care.
