November 13, 2025, Fresno, CA: A big rig accident with injuries took place at an intersection in Fresno early Wednesday morning.
According to ABC30, the accident occurred around 2:30 a.m. at the intersection of Maple Avenue and American Avenue. Police confirmed that two big rigs were traveling in the area when the one headed east failed to stop at a stop sign. The two big rigs collided, sending both into a power pole. This caused a live wire to hit the ground, starting a nearby brush fire.
Both of the big rig drivers sustained injuries as a result of the accident. One was treated on scene and another was taken to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment.
There were delays in the area for some time following the collision.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident remains ongoing.
