Clovis, CA – On the evening of Tuesday, October 28, 2025, a pedestrian collision claimed the life of Tina Taylor, 55, according to The Fresno Bee.
The Clovis Police Department reports that the accident took place around 9:30 PM near Clovis Avenue, just south of East Griffith Way.
Authorities said Taylor, a resident of Clovis, was crossing Clovis Avenue when she was struck by a northbound vehicle. Emergency personnel arrived quickly and attempted life-saving measures, but despite their efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the involved vehicle stopped immediately and cooperated with the police throughout the investigation. Officials said there was no indication that drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision.
Clovis Avenue was closed to traffic while investigators from the department’s Collision Reconstruction Unit documented evidence and examined the crash site.
The Clovis Police Department continues to review the circumstances leading to the crash as part of its ongoing investigation into the fatal incident.
Pedestrian Fatalities and Wrongful Death Claims
Drivers have a Duty of Care towards pedestrians, which includes being vigilant for those travelling by foot and, if a collision occurs, staying with the victim, alerting emergency responders, and cooperating with authorities investigating the crash.
For those who lose a loved one in a pedestrian accident, filing a Wrongful Death claim with the assistance of an experienced attorney can provide compensation for medical bills, funeral costs, and other related damages.
Should the at-fault driver avoid legal consequences, compensation might still be available through a family member’s uninsured driver coverage. Consulting with a personal injury attorney can help determine the best options in such cases.
