Fresno, CA – On the afternoon of Saturday, October 11, 2025, a 15-year-old boy was critically injured when his eBike collided with an SUV near Woodward Park, according to KSEE.
The teen sustained serious injuries to his head and upper body and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The Fresno Police Department reports that the accident took place just before 3:00 PM near Audubon Drive and Friant Road, close to Woodward Park.
Investigators stated that the boy and two other juveniles were riding eBikes westbound on Audubon Drive, when the 15-year-old appeared to have changed lanes just before the intersection. The SUV driver struck him, and the impact caused the boy and his eBike to be dragged into the intersection.
Authorities confirmed that the driver of the SUV remained at the scene and is cooperating fully with the investigation. The two other juveniles riding with the boy were not injured.
Traffic on Friant Road was temporarily closed while officers investigated the scene, and officials said delays were expected as crews worked to document the accident and ensure safety.
Investigators continue to review all circumstances surrounding the collision to determine how it occurred and whether any contributing factors played a role.
