Pedestrian Injured in Fresno Crash at Cedar, Cornell Ave

Fresno, CA – On the evening of Sunday, October 5, 2025, a pedestrian suffered injuries after being struck by a vehicle, according to KFSN.

The Fresno Police Department reports that the accident took place just after 9:30 PM near the intersection of Cedar Avenue and Cornell Avenue, just south of Shields.

The victim sustained moderate injuries from the impact and was transported to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment. Authorities emphasized that the focus remains on the victim’s care while investigating the incident.

Police said the vehicle involved fled the scene immediately following the collision. The suspect vehicle is described as a dark-colored sedan, model years 2016 to 2018. 

No description of the driver has been released, and officers continue to search for the individual responsible.
