October 12, 2025, Bakersfield, CA: A fatal hit-and-run pedestrian accident took place in Bakersfield on Sunday morning.
According to Bakersfield Police, the accident happened around 8:08 a.m. at 7900 Camino Media. Police confirmed that a man was walking in the area when he was struck by the driver of a vehicle. The driver fled the scene without stopping. Police have been searching for a driver in the area of Gosford Road but currently have no leads.
The pedestrian, identified as an adult male, was found on the scene unresponsive. He was tragically pronounced dead as a result of his injuries.
