Fresno, CA – On the morning of Friday, October 3, 2025, a bicycle crash left a 41-year-old man injured after a truck struck him, according to KSEE.
The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 7:00 AM at the intersection of Princeton and Barton avenues in southeast Fresno.
Officers said initial evidence suggests that the bicyclist crossed a nearby footbridge and may have then rode into the intersection without stopping.
At that point, the truck driver approached the intersection and did not stop in time to avoid a collision. The impact caused the bicyclist to strike the front windshield of the truck.
Emergency crews arrived quickly and transported the injured man to a hospital for treatment. His exact medical condition has not been confirmed at this time.
Authorities have not released the names of the man who suffered injuries or the driver involved in the collision. The California Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
Ongoing Investigations
Victims of traffic accidents and their families should be aware that authorities may fail to note or even misinterpret critical evidence at a crash site. One of the services that a Personal Injury Attorney can provide is to pursue follow-up investigations, which can reveal additional evidence to correct any errors made by previous investigators.
Duty of Care Toward Bicyclists
Drivers have a Duty of Care towards bicyclists, who are particularly vulnerable in traffic accidents. This responsibility includes being vigilant for bicyclists with whom they share the road and, if a collision occurs, staying with the victim to ensure they get proper medical treatment and cooperating with authorities investigating the crash.
