September 15, 2025, Hanford, CA: On Monday evening, a fatal bicycle accident took place on a roadway in Hanford.
The accident happened at 6:40 p.m. on Hanford Armona Road just east of 16th Avenue. Police confirmed that a woman was headed west on Armona Road in a 2019 Subaru Forrester. She was directly behind a man riding a Felt Z85 bicycle, who was riding on the solid white road line. The driver approached from behind and didn’t leave enough space, slamming into the rear of the bicycle.
The man, who was not formally identified, was ejected onto the road. He was tragically pronounced dead as a result of his injuries.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the collision remains ongoing.
