Shandon, CA – On the afternoon of Sunday, July 27, 2025, a two-vehicle crash on Highway 46 near McMillan Canyon Road resulted in three people being injured, according to The San Luis Obispo Tribune.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reports that the crash occurred at approximately 1:42 PM when a 17-year-old driving a 1998 Lexus sedan northbound on West Centre Street entered the path of a 2015 Toyota Highlander traveling eastbound on Highway 46. After the impact, the Toyota came to a stop in the median of the highway, while the Lexus came to rest on the shoulder of the road.

Emergency responders, including Cal Fire, arrived on the scene to provide aid. A total of three people were injured in the crash. One person sustained major injuries, while two others suffered moderate injuries. All three individuals were transported to a hospital for further treatment.

Several vehicles stopped to assist before emergency services arrived. CHP confirmed that alcohol and drugs were not believed to be contributing factors. The incident remains under investigation, and authorities have not yet released the names of those involved.
