July 15, 2025, Gilroy, CA: A pedestrian lost their life in a fatal accident involving a motorcyclist at an intersection in Gilroy on Tuesday night.
According to information provided by Kion46, the accident took place at 8 p.m. at the intersection of Santa Teresa Boulevard and Ballybunion Drive. Police confirmed that a motorcyclist was traveling in the area when they collided with a pedestrian due to reasons that are not entirely known. Both the pedestrian and the motorcyclist were found in the roadway when police and paramedics arrived on scene.
The 61-year-old pedestrian sustained major injuries and was hospitalized. They were tragically pronounced dead at the hospital. The motorcyclist, a 53-year-old from Gilroy, was treated on scene as a result of minor injuries.
