Hollister, CA – On the afternoon of Saturday, July 5, 2025, a single-vehicle collision resulted in fatal injuries, according to CHP Fatal.
The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 3:35 PM near the intersection of San Felipe Road and State Route 156.
Emergency services were dispatched to the scene near the 2400 block of San Felipe Road, following reports of a crash involving a single vehicle. Responding units included fire and medical personnel, as well as towing services.
Despite these efforts, at least one individual sustained fatal injuries as a result of the incident. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released pending family notification.
The roadway was temporarily closed to facilitate emergency response and investigation, and rotation tow services were summoned to remove the heavily damaged vehicle. Law enforcement officials have not confirmed the cause of the crash, and it remains unclear whether excessive speed, driver impairment, or mechanical failure played a role.
