Oakdale, CA – On the morning of Thursday, July 17, 2025, a single-vehicle crash involving a pickup truck caused injuries to the driver and structural damage to a local car dealership, according to KCRA.
The Modesto Fire Department reports that the collision occurred around 8:05 AM at the Haidlen Ford dealership located on F Street in Oakdale.
Emergency personnel arrived to find the pickup truck had crashed directly into the building, damaging a section of the structure. The impact left the truck lodged inside the dealership, prompting concerns about the stability of the building.
Fire crews quickly assessed the scene and worked to stabilize the compromised structure before additional personnel entered the area. Paramedics treated the driver at the scene and then transported them to a nearby hospital for evaluation and treatment of minor injuries. No other individuals were reported inside the affected area of the building at the time of the crash.
Investigators are continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding the incident, including whether mechanical issues, driver error, or other contributing factors played a role in the collision.
Further details regarding the cause of the crash have not yet been released.
Single-Vehicle Collisions
In some cases, investigations may reveal that even in a single-vehicle accident, nearby drivers or unsafe road features share some responsibility. California’s Comparative Negligence rule means that, even if those injured in accidents are found partially at fault, they may still be eligible to receive partial compensation for damages.
